Chrissy and John
Congratulations to Chrissy and John, who were recently married in Austin at Westlake Hills Presbyterian Church. After a beautiful ceremony, everyone made the short drive to Barton Creek Country Club for the fabulous reception.
Linda Dryden, Westlake’s premier wedding & event planning guru, brought Chrissy & John’s ideas to life and did not miss a single detail. The decor was provided by Westbank Flowers (who also did the wonderful arrangements at the church), Marquee Rentals (those elegant linens) and Ilios Lighting [planning note: Seeing a professional lighting designer setting up accent lighting at an event or reception always makes a photographer smile! Spotlighting tables, cakes, floral arrangements can provide a beautiful glow to your party!].
Just off the main ballroom, John & Chrissy had a fun room/lounge. Inside were all their favorites: movies & kettle corn, mini burgers and sweet potato fries, a candy bar with peanut M&M’s and sour skittles, cozy couches surrounding tables with scrabble boards (John’s game of choice), milk & cookies and a photo booth!
All the guests danced and danced to the music of Bulletproof Brass. During Sweet Home Alabama, I heard something being yelled out during the chorus - in between the band’s singing ”Sweet Home Alabama” and “where the skies are so blue.” I scurried over to the dance floor just in time to hear the large contingent of guests from Alabama shouting “Roll Tide Roll,” just like they do at ‘Bama games.
We wanted to share some of our favorites of Chrissy & John on the blog. You can see the rest of the photographs here.
